Geoscience Advisor - Geoscience and Production - WPS & Sperry Drilling

Job Description

We are seeking a Geoscience Advisor to join our dynamic Geoscience and Production team. This is a senior-level technical position responsible to provide high-level geoscience output across multi-disciplinary subjects.

Job description:
A technical expert capable of functioning effectively under broad direction. Capable of leading a project or leading and coaching 5 to 10 employees at various levels of competence in the relevant technical domain(s). Accountable for the use of best practice work processes, projects, quality and commercial management. Recognizes and exploits the talents of his/her staff and demonstrates commitment to their competencies and career development. Is frequently involved in customer engagement and regularly contributes to business development activities. Gets involved regularly in budgeting and financial control and is active in strategy development. Effectively exploits a global network of professional contacts and typically contributes to 1 to 5 multi-disciplinary projects simultaneously within the geographical region. Functions at role model level in terms of consulting practice development, project delivery and business development. Mentor junior geoscientist and review technical work to ensure best practices and high quality work are delivered. Represent organization at technical forums to present case study and technical works. Knowledge and experience in LWD and WL borehole imaging is a plus.

Qualifications:
Requires an undergraduate degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with a minimum of 14 years of experience in Geoscience closely linked to Petrophysics. A postgraduate degree is preferred.

Personal qualities:
The position requires that you champion the Company's HSE procedures.
In this position it is important to work strategically and focused often with short deadlines. You must be proactive and flexible.

We are looking for candidates with good organizational skills, positive attitude and strong focus on working together towards our common goals.

Candidates should have good communication and teamwork skills.
