Field Engineer LWD, II - Sperry Drilling

Job Description

We are looking for experienced MWD/LWD Engineers for Measurement while Drilling department. You will be a part of a dynamic and flexible work group and you will work closely with the customer either at the customer`s rigsite locations or at Halliburton’s Real-Time center.

Job description

You will be responsible to deliver MWD/LWD services either physically at an offshore installation or deliver LWD data and monitoring services in an onshore center.

The main tasks are:

  • On-Site delivery of LWD service including tool preparation, BHA assembly, data acquisition and quality control
  • Quality assurance while drilling of formation evaluation and drilling mechanics data
  • Proactively interface with and delivery of data to customer’s representatives on geology, petro physics and drilling efficiency areas
  • Daily interaction and reporting to onshore operations team
  • Delivery of service in accordance with company HSE standards and expectations

Qualifications

  • Min. 5 years experience as MWD/LWD Engineer
  • Halliburton MWD experience is required
  • Sonic, Formation Testing and NMR experience is a must
  • EarthStar and relevant reservoir mapping tools experience is a must
  • iStar technology experience is an advantage
  • Preferably Master (MSc) or Bachelor degree (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field
  • Offshore safety and health certificate
  • Fluency in English and also preferably a Scandinavian language

Personal qualities

Candidates that are team oriented and possess good analytical and communication skills will be preferred. Candidates also need to be prepared to work with practical mechanical and electrical tasks in the field. You need to work in a structured manner and the position requires that you champion the Company's HSE procedures.

In line with future development in the industry around remote delivery models, candidates based in Stavanger area or with commitment to relocate are preferred. Onshore assignments should also be expected by all candidates.
