Job Duties

Duties:                                                             

Responsibilities include: Acts as a technical lead on projects, as required, by establishing development plans and approving design documents; evaluates project risks and provides input to project leads to develop mitigation strategies; uses engineering tools, test specifications and assessment of Health, Safety and Environment requirements during the design process; uses software tools or applications to perform routine analysis to predict reliability and performance; contributes to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio by delivering innovative and commercially successful solutions; creates an impactful relationship with Halliburton's technical community, customers, and vendors by proactively collaborating with key stakeholders; participates in professional societies in area of specialization. Domestic and international travel required 15% of the time.

Qualifications

Requirements:                                      

Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience  in the job offered or in an R&D Electrical Engineer, Senior-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Experience with Motor Control Electronic Circuits, such as Motor Drivers and Position Feedback circuits used in diverse applications, including Oil & Gas drilling, electric actuators, automation systems, electric vehicles, and others.
  2. Experience with DC-DC Converters, such as Buck/Boost and Flyback Converters used in Power Supplies and present in a large variety of industrial and consumer electronics, from computers and smartphones to permanent downhole installations for Oil & Gas.
  3. Experience with Analog/Digital Filters used for various applications, including mobile networks, radio, satellite transmission, medical devices and Oil & Gas sensors and permanent signals monitoring.
  4. Experience with Sensors found in most industrial and commercial electronics, from smartphones, automobiles and thermostats to permanent downhole installations for Oil & Gas.
  5. Experience with Electronics Simulation and CAD Tools for Electronics used in the industry to model, simulate and design electronic devices.
  6. Experience in programming electronic processors, such as Microcontrollers or FPGA’s used across various industries to control different functions on embedded devices, such as smartphones, computers, automobiles, as well as Oil & Gas drilling and monitoring tools.
  7. Experience in developing Algorithms for electronics devices applications, such as Motor Control, Sensor Interfacing and Signal Processing used to program the desired functionalities and control electronic devices in a way that enables their implementation in tools from several industries, for example Oil & Gas tools – which can be used for drilling tools, data acquisition devices, electric actuator control, etc.

Experience in programming languages, such as C / C++ / C# / Python / Java / VDHL / Verilog / SQL used to program the electronic devices (Microcontroller and FPGA’s) with the developed algorithms.
