Responsibilities
- Develop and implement electrical engineering solutions in collaboration with a cross‑functional project team to meet project objectives and safety standards.
- Define new design requirements, functional specifications and test documentation.
- Design electronic circuits and/or systems at the test‑concept or operational level.
- Perform root cause analysis at the system or PCB level under broad supervision; evaluate test results and prepare detailed reports and recommended corrective actions.
- Conduct qualification activities for PCB designs and electronic components. Support the setup, configuration, and operation of test environments in accordance with documented test plans.
- Apply a strong understanding of downhole tool working principles to support tool development, testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure all documentation complies with Halliburton’s standard processes, quality systems, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, demonstrating clear and professional communication to support innovative engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. Candidates with qualifications exceeding the minimum requirements may be considered for higher‑level roles based on (1) their experience, (2) additional job responsibilities, and/or (3) business needs.
- Solid foundational knowledge of electrical and electronic circuit design, including the ability to interpret schematics and use standard laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, power supplies, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with fundamental electronic building blocks (e.g., DC-DC converters, operational amplifiers, ADCs/DACs, microcontrollers) is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of C/C++, VHDL/Verilog, MATLAB and/or LabView would be a plus.
- Strong personal, professional, teamwork, and communication skills.
