Methods Analyst/Program Specialist

Job Duties

  • Under general supervision, supports manufacturing operations by creating complex manufacturing sequences whereby raw materials are converted and assembled into quality finished products.
  • Analyzes engineering prints and other specified requirements of items to be manufactured and determines the most efficient and cost effective method when creating process plans/routings, instructions, methods, procedures, tooling, etc. required to manufacture finished products.
  • Specifies machines to be utilized, routings and stages of operation, new tools, component parts and/or requests purchase or design of additional tooling as required.
  • Develops preliminary cost estimates to support studies of product feasibility and assists in establishing selling prices.
  • Creates complex numerical control programs to support specified machining operations. Validates accuracy of programs prior to release to shop floor.
  • Discusses and resolves issues with planning and/or programming with other departments as required. Analyzes and provides direction for manufacturability for product and process improvement or development.
  • Utilizes software packages used in the manufacturing process such as SAP, MATRIX, Factory Planner, Solidworks, AutoCAD, ESPRIT/UniGraphics, etc. Job tasks, correct performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in methods analysis and NC programming.
