Senior Systems Engineer

Job Duties and Qualifications

Define test and integration strategies for components and subsystems in the development of a Halliburton wireline tool. Collaborate with teams in the US and Singapore, working closely with Engineers, Scientists, and the Project Manager at Halliburton Technology Center in Brazil (HBTC).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field (Master’s/Ph.D. preferred).

Experience:

  • Experience with embedded systems development/testing in harsh environments (oil & gas, aerospace, defense).
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment, QFD, FMEA, and reliability tools.
  • Experience defining requirements, specifications, test plans, and procedures.
  • Skilled with lab diagnostic equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power amplifiers, power supplies).
  • Knowledge of hardware development and digital communication (MIL-STD-1553, RS-485, CAN, SPI, I²C).
  • General knowledge on hardware development and digital communication standards/interfaces (MIL-STD-1553, RS-485, CAN, SPI, I²C, etc.);
  • Ability to contribute to firmware and hardware debugging.
  • R&D experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, innovation, and ownership.
  • Excellent teamwork, adaptability, critical observation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Fluent in English.
