R&D Senior EM Scientist/Engineer

Job Duties

  • Responsible for simulating and processing data from electromagnetic systems designed for wireline logging tools in Halliburton Technology Brazil’s facility.
  • He/She will collaborate with the Sensor Physics team based in US and Singapore and work closely with the Project Manager in Brazil.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Science, Control Engineering, or Physics.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in one of the aforementioned areas is highly desired.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5 years of experience in modeling and simulation.
  • Strong background in analytical and computational electromagnetics.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial EM modeling packages e.g. CST, Ansys, COMSOL, etc.
  • Proficient in programming using Python, Matlab, etc.
  • Proven experience in signal processing/data analysis skills.
  • Machine learning knowledge is a plus.
  • C++, CUDA is a plus.
  • Timely document simulation reports.
  • Protect intellectual property by filing in timely disclosures and patents.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to innovate and think outside the box, self-starter, self-motivated.
  • Required to have strong, teamwork, adaptability, critical observation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Fluent in Portuguese & English.
