Job Duties
- Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems during the development and application of new and improved products and processe
- Establishes best practices that incorporate Reliability, Health, Safety, and Environment concepts to guide others in analysis and design.
- Evaluates proposed theoretical results to meet design requirements.
- Serves as a technical expert to other employees to solves complex system equations and develops custom equations to simplify complex problems by using advanced engineering tools.
- Serves as a technical expert by coaching, developing, and reviewing work from other employees.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross- disciplinary teams.
- Significantly contributes to Halliburton’s Intellectual Property portfolio by delivering innovative and commercially successful solutions.
- Work across multiple teams located in different countries (Brazil, US, Singapore, India).
- Work close to the Electrical Engineering team, Systems Engineer, and the Project Manager at the Halliburton Technology Center in Brazil (HBTC).
Qualifications
- Completion of a master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 2 years of experience in R&D.
- Experience in design solutions for subsea applications and well control involving multi disciplines is desirable.
- Experience in design solutions for well intervention applications involving multi disciplines is desirable.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports regularly to various stakeholders.
- Experience in project planning and monitoring.
- Coordinates with project leads to deliver on project scope, schedule, and services.
- Familiarity with Risk Assessment and FMEA.
- Working knowledge of electronic circuit design and in commonly used circuit simulators (LTSPICE, PSPICE, etc.) and math tools (Matlab, MathCAD, etc.) applied to embedded systems in harsh environments (O&G or aerospace) is desired.
- Knowledge in designing system automation using robotics is desirable.
- Knowledge in designing models, control design and simulation of electrical and mechanical system with standard software (Matlab, Labview, ROS, PLC software,..).
- Knowledge in different aspects of control system design, signal processing and analyses, feedback loops & system dynamics.
- Knowledge in ROV activities, subsea inspection and autonomous underwater systems is desirable.
