Job Duties
- Under broad direction, manages a team of procurement professionals and is accountable for sourcing plans to support manufacturing's, field operation's or project management's strategic plans.
- Assists with implementing and executing Category Management strategy as well as ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Approves the selection and qualification of suppliers and negotiates for goods and services not covered under Category Management.
- Develops strategies to improve supplier performance for spending not under regional or global Category Management.
- Ensures collaboration with Business Development and Technology to set specifications for products and services.
- Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center's viability or its quality of service via personal contributions.
Qualifications
- Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent industry experience in lieu of experience.
- Advanced procurement certification is preferred.
