Job Duties
- Performs all phases of rig-up and rig-down of Surface Well Testing (SWT) equipment under general supervision to maintain well control and process wellbore fluids during testing operations.
- Provides essential reservoir data using SWT and Surface Pressure Control equipment packages.
- Works across multiple well environments, including onshore, offshore, and base camps, as assigned by the Service Coordinator.
- Regularly collaborates with other Testing and Subsea Product Service Lines (PSL).
- Coordinates and oversees SWT PSL operations at well sites and field camps.
- Plans job execution, including rig site surveys, equipment setup, well site direction, and customer support activities.
- Responsible for maintaining, setting up, testing, and operating SWT equipment at customer locations and field camps.
- Operates and maintains SWT service line equipment efficiently and safely.
- Prepares and delivers basic customer reports.
- Mentors and trains junior Service Operators in areas of expertise.
- May be designated as an Assessor for junior SWT personnel.
- Monitors instruments and performs calculations to ensure data quality and job accuracy.
- Engages with customers to explain services/products, maintain strong relationships, and ensure satisfaction.
- Ensures proper maintenance of assigned equipment and adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
- Conducts pre-job toolbox talks, reviews job plans with customers, and manages any operational changes.
- Verifies equipment against job plans and ensures readiness.
- Completes required documentation, including Job Tickets, Job History Reports, KPI metrics, Job Logs, and Job Summaries.
- Demonstrates basic reservoir knowledge (BHP, BHT, hydrocarbon phases, gas and oil flow measurements) and separator troubleshooting.
- Contributes indirectly to cost control, operational efficiency, and profitability.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of SWT experience.
- Must pass company assessments or meet task guideline requirements.
- Must meet competency requirements for Service Operator II – SWT.
- Requires strong knowledge of Testing & Subsea (SWT) operations in the local area.
- Able to interpret schematics accurately.
- Able to identify well test equipment and explain their functions.
- Capable of safely pressure testing equipment.
- Demonstrates safe use of hand tools.
- Possesses strong leadership and communication skills.
- Able to explain mobilization documentation processes.
- Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Demonstrates good reading comprehension and writing skills.
- Understands local Halliburton Management System (HMS) processes, especially “Prepare Resources.”
- Uses the Correction, Prevention, and Improvement (CPI) system to report issues and suggest improvements.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and navigation of HalWorld.
