Job Duties and Qualifications

Responsibilities: 
•    Under broad direction, the Regional Technical Sales & Services manager is the lead person for all customer technical-related issues in North America and Canada.
•    Gain and utilize expertise in specific aspects of a PSLs' technology and services portfolio to educate Customers, Operations and BD on features, advantages and benefits of the PSL solution offerings. 
•    Under broad direction, the Technical Sales Advisor job family is accountable for Delivery Execution. 
•    This entails pursuing excellence in all day-to-day activities, identifying technical needs of customers through product knowledge and geographic understanding of challenges, aiding the BD organization in pursuit of work through customer interaction and internal/external workshops, providing technical recommendations to BD for proposal preparation regarding solution upsell, aiding operations and BD in the diagnosis and communication of solutions delivery issues, all utilizing a detailed knowledge base of a majority of the sub-PSL products, services and solutions. 
•    Technical Sales Advisors help establish the strategic direction in the work area through clear understanding of the local customer's business drivers and technical challenges and are responsible for identifying and executing up-sell (POP Plan) strategies within a geography of responsibility Responsible for enhancing the brand equity of the PSL through increased participation of writing/co-authoring technical papers with the industry recognized bodies such as SPWLA, SPE, IADC, etc.  
•    Responsible for coordinating any technical forums and presentations within the region and is the key communicator of technical sales and marketing information within the region. 
•    Executes tactical action plans as set by the region. 
•    Helps to establish a network of subject matter experts within the region for each relevant sub-PSL technology. 
•    Utilizes project management skills and tracking tools in the organization and execution of project assignments. 
•    Provides leadership and direction to country Technical Advisors, conducts goal setting and performance appraisals of matrix country Technical Advisor personnel.  
•    Job role has budgetary type accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center's viability or its quality of service via personal contributions.


Requirements: 
•    Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, engineering, or equivalent degree.
•    Minimum of 10 years of industry experience or through equivalent work experience.
•    Travel 30-40% of the time.
