Service Supervisor I-Subsea Safety Systems

Notodden, Vestfold og Telemark, Norway

Job Description

The rig is your office. The world is your territory.

Optime, now part of Halliburton, is taking its subsea technology global. As we expand across new markets, we are looking for a Global Subsea Supervisor who brings deep offshore expertise, natural authority on location, and the mindset to leave every team stronger than they found it.

If you thrive in technically demanding environments, earn trust across cultures and see knowledge transfer as part of the job, not a distraction from it — this role was built for you.

In this role, you will be a key contributor in bringing subsea technology to the global market. You will take a leading role in deploying and operating new solutions mainly within upper completion (ROCS operations), while also acting as a technical ambassador—supporting, training, and building competence across regions.

What you will do

  • Lead subsea operations on location from project kick-off through to live operations
  • Be the bridge between engineering design and real-world field execution
  • Develop and coach local teams — building capability that outlasts each project
  • Drive operational excellence and contribute to how we continuously improve

What we are looking for

  • Proven offshore subsea experience (min. 7 years) across exploration and completions environments
  • A natural operator who is equally credible in a technical review and on a rig floor
  • Someone who mentors instinctively — sharing knowledge is second nature
  • Safety-focused, adaptable, and confident working across different cultures and geographies
  • Fluent in English, additional languages a plus

Who you are

You are self-driven and operationally sharp. You adapt when conditions change — and in this industry, they always do. You are comfortable being the most experienced person in the room and using that to lift everyone around you. You understand that the strongest professionals are not the ones who make themselves indispensable — they are the ones who make their expertise transferable.

We offer:

  • 4-4 rotation mostly international assignment
  • Great career and development opportunities
  • Highly skilled colleagues in a diverse environment
  • Company health insurance
  • Competitive pension and insurance scheme
  • Beneficial employee stock-purchase plan
  • Social club with several arrangements throughout the year

About the Company:

Optime by Halliburton has, over the past 10 years, transformed the Oil & Gas industry with it’s innovative capabilities and forward-thinking approach to business operations. We have introduced several new standards in the way oil wells are installed, maintained, and plugged. This has resulted in significantly safer and faster operations for our operators.

Halliburton is one of the world's leading providers of products and services to the energy industry. Founded in 1919, we are 40.000 employees in 70 countries. We create innovative technologies, products, and services that help our customers maximize their value throughout the life cycle of an asset and advance a sustainable energy future.
