Contribute to safe and efficient subsea operations through planning and technical support

Optime, a Halliburton Service, is a leading innovator within subsea well operations, delivering technology that enables safer, faster, and more sustainable execution. As activity levels increase and projects grow in complexity, we are strengthening our Services organization and are now seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, documentation, and operational execution of service-related activities.

The role

As Project Engineer in Services, you will be part of Optime’s Services engineering team, contributing to the technical foundation that enables safe and efficient offshore operations. The role is primarily office‑based and closely connected to planning, documentation, and onshore operational support.

You will work closely with Lead Engineers, offshore personnel, and other engineering disciplines, supporting execution throughout the full operational lifecycle. The role includes close collaboration across locations, with regular interaction with the engineering team and the workshop in Notodden being an advantage.

What you will do

In this role, you will support engineering execution and operational readiness across service activities.

You will:

  • Contribute to well planning activities, ensuring technical input supports operational execution
  • Prepare, update, and maintain procedures, operational documentation, and engineering deliverables
  • Support offshore operations as part of the Onshore Support Team, including technical clarifications during execution
  • Assist in coordination between engineering, operations, and offshore personnel
  • Follow up operational experience, lessons learned, and improvement suggestions
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement of processes, tools, and documentation
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards related to HSE, quality, and operational performance

What we are looking for

  • BSc or MSc in Engineering (relevant experience may compensate)
  • Experience from subsea oil & gas or other operational engineering environments is an advantage
  • Interest in operational planning, documentation, and engineering support
  • Structured approach with attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to support operations through coordination and technical follow‑up

Some travel may be required in connection with operational support.

Personal qualities

  • Structured, reliable, and quality‑focused
  • Comfortable working with documentation and engineering deliverables
  • Collaborative and eager to learn from experienced colleagues
  • Able to work independently within defined technical scope
  • Clear and concise communicator

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
Norwegian language skills are considered an advantage.
