Requirements

Duties:                                                             

Responsibilities include: Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on Logging and Perforating surface and downhole equipment. Trains other Maintenance Professional -L&P's, to gain knowledge and experience in maintaining logging equipment and tools. Requires broad knowledge of surface systems, open and cased hole tools, PM I, PM II, HMS, Lab/field testing equipment, and documentation methods. Promotes and ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), and Service Quality (SQ) standards, practices and guidelines. Communicates with Technical Services when needed. Provide training, assessment, and mentorship to less experienced maintenance professionals.

Requirements:                                       

Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Maint-Prof, General, L&P-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

Duties

  1. Experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical components in slickline and e-line wireline units and surface, downhole tools to identify wear, fatigue, and failure modes in mechanical components such as sheaves, grease injectors, tool string components, and tensioners.
  2. Experience troubleshooting AC/DC systems, relays, sensors, and electrical protection devices using foundational electrical theory on voltage, current, resistance, power factor, impedance, circuit tracing, and fault isolation skills to diagnose issues in low- and high-voltage circuits.
  3. Experience with acquisition systems used in surface and downhole operations as well as data acquisition principles including analog-to-digital conversion, sampling rates, and signal conditioning using system integration skills to align acquisition hardware/software with depth/tension systems and telemetry.
  4. Experience with mechanical disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of wireline tools and assemblies with precision handling of threaded connections, seals, and internal tool components.
  5. Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams using blueprint and schematic literacy to understand complex component layouts and electrical routing such as symbol recognition for IEC/NEMA standards in wiring and P&ID diagrams.
  6. Experience utilizing diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes for troubleshooting and maintenance using multimeter proficiency (voltage, resistance, current, continuity, diode check) for basic and intermediate troubleshooting and oscilloscope for identifying signal anomalies, waveform integrity, and noise in telemetry or power systems.
  7. Experience maintaining detailed service logs, maintenance reports, and compliance documentation using technical writing skills to clearly and accurately record findings, part replacements, and preventive actions, as well as provide documentation for audits and inspections, including service history, calibration certificates, and compliance checklists.
