Job Location:                                           719 Hanger Dr, New Iberia, LA 70560                                                                        

Duties:                                                             

Responsibilities include: Apply expert knowledge of Halliburton's Seismic logging products and technologies such as Insite Software and LOGIQ surface system to deliver technical and operational support on projects and attain seismic and open hole data from downhole tools such as Xaminer Magnetic Resonance tool, Array Seismic Receivers, and Borehole Sonic Array Tool. Maintain Quality Control of data before providing for final output for operations projects. Lead pre-job planning, job execution, and post-job analysis to ensure optimal performance and reliability of logging tools and equipment. Supervise field crews during wireline operations, ensuring adherence to operational protocols and industry standards. Promote and enforce compliance with Halliburton’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Service Quality (SQ) policies, standards, and procedures. Mentor and train Operators and Associate Field Professionals in technical and operational areas, sharing expertise and promoting professional growth. Maintain accountability for tool configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring service delivery excellence. Prepare detailed job reports and performance assessments to support continuous improvement initiatives. Domestic and international travel required 40% of the time.

Job Requirements

Requirements:                                         Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Field Professional Seismic related position.

Position requires experience in the following:

  1. Experience in field logging operations with open hole and cased hole tools (gamma ray, resistivity, density, neutron, cement evaluation, casing inspection).
  2. Experience selecting appropriate tools based on formation characteristics and well objectives, as well as configuring tool strings to optimize data collection.
  3. Experience with tool calibration, function checks, and safe rig-up and rig-down procedures such as performing precise calibration of logging tools to guarantee accurate measurements.
  4. Experience with basic troubleshooting of tool and surface system issues and capable of diagnosing common faults in downhole logging tools and surface acquisition systems, such as sensor failures, communication interruptions, and power inconsistencies.
  5. Experience with borehole conditions that influence logging quality, including washouts, rugosity, and mud cake build-up.
  6. Experience with data acquisition systems and operating advanced data acquisition platforms that capture, digitize, and store logging measurements.
  7. Experience recognizing tool failure or abnormal log responses, identifying signs of tool malfunction or atypical logging responses, such as sudden signal losses, inconsistent sensor readings, or unusual log patterns.
  8. Experience with basic data quality control (DQCs) during acquisition by monitoring for noise, spikes, and consistency throughout logging operations.

Wage Offered: $142,187.00/year
