Job Duties and Qualifications
Under direct supervision, this is an entry level role that focuses on project based work related to reservoir characterization, well engineering, reservoir management and project management. Has basic knowledge and understanding of applicable science and technology. through formal education and possesses basic awareness of existing and emerging technology within industry focus areas. Uses Halliburton management system (HMS) as guide for project work. Individual contributor who is responsible for working with various project teams under guidance; Needs to effectively plan and manages own workload to meet desired timelines, deliverables, and service level targets. Has minimal customer contact and has very limited involvement in business development activities. Completion of an undergraduate degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) related area is required.
Job description:
- The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating and interpreting petrophysical data to support reservoir characterization, development, and management.
- This position requires a deep understanding of rock properties, fluid characteristics, and their interactions within the subsurface environment.
- The Petrophysicist will collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other technical specialists to enhance hydrocarbon recovery and optimize production strategies.
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in petrophysical software such as Techlog, Interactive Petrophysics (IP), DSP or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of well logging tools and techniques, core analysis, and formation evaluation.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
Min Exp: 10- 15 years
