Job Duties

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Material Control Specialist with a strong background in Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Demand Planning, SAP MM/ ERP tool and other Materials Planning tools. This role offers cross-functional collaboration within the organization and with other Halliburton entities Globally.

Responsibilities:

1. Under broad direction, coordinates inventory/ demand planning requirements to provide seamless integration of supply chain and operations processes for one or more product service lines (PSLs). Gathers business outlook from PSLs and Business Development (BD) and executes the inventory plan against the PSL demand plan to achieve optimized inventory levels. Responsible for leading plant or area level inventory planning meetings, setting and maintenance of material requirements planning (MRP) data, running analytics to optimize inventory levels, and develop inventory strategies for multiple product service lines. Responsible for planning activities such as review of forecasts and replenishment recommendations generated by inventory planning tools, leading inventory planning meetings and ensuring actions arising from these meetings are executed. Additionally, role will provide coaching and training to Material Control Specialist and in some cases serves as team lead for small groups or project teams ranging from 1-3 employees.
2. Responsible for maintaining material master data for proper with correct MRP type in order to achieve improved forecast accuracy, surplus reduction, order fulfilment, optimized gross inventory, minimizing excess or obsolete inventory and other inventory turn goals.
3. Responsible for generating inventory planning related reports (inventory details, open orders/ requisitions, excess or slow moving inventory) on weekly, monthly or yearly basis for the entire team/ management and have eye for details/ good with the numbers using excel or any other analytic tool.
4. Additionally, this role will identify and implement continuous improvement efforts across basic inventory management function for the area supported to include sales order delivery process and reconciliation, goods issue and receiving process, warehouse optimization and developing solutions to address gaps. Will interface with procurement, logistics and manufacturing customer service representatives to prioritize order, monitor lead times, provide forecast information and issue resolution. The position requires interfaces with the product service lines (PSL) and other support groups and compliance with the company's safety programs. Will have direct impact and responsibility to meet financial goals and objectives for the business.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate/ Post Graduate degree in supply chain or relevant.
2. 3-4 years of experience in Materials Management, Inventory Planning and Inventory Optimization
3. Candidates with Supply Chain Certifications is preferable
4. Must have knowledge of SAP ERP/MM and S4 HANA
5. Strong computer skills and analytical abilities to resolve problems required
6. Proficient in Excel and any other analytical tool is plus.
