Job Duties and Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4 or more years of well services/intervention experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Well Intervention and Abandonment.
  • Well Control Certificate is preferred.
  • Experience in Integrated Projects.
  • Supervisory experience and exposure to multi-discipline operations is preferred.
  • Advanced English is required.
  • Spanish is preferred.
  • CREA is required.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, the Well Engineer is responsible for:

  • Integrated Well Intervention engineering proposals and Integrated Design of Services.
  • Provides Operation Plans, prepares Programs, and ensures the technical integrity of operations planning and execution.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations monitoring. Participates in risk assessments, forecasts, and plans medium- and long-term needs to meet program requirements, anticipating operational changes and needs.
  • Prepares equipment lists and identifies long-lead items.
  • Ensures effective communication within the project.
  • Performs engineering studies to solve recurring issues.
  • Prepares End-of-Well reports and contributes to knowledge management.
