Job Description

We are looking for a Well Design Consultant to support office and field operations by delivering highquality well design solutions, including trajectory planning, anticollision analysis, survey management, and BHA design/modeling, working under the guidance of a Technical Advisor. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and fitforpurpose drilling execution through robust technical design and clear communication with customers and field teams.

Job Duties

  • Deliver well design solutions in accordance with Halliburton Management System (HMS) and Developing Solutions requirements.
  • Plan and validate well trajectories, perform anti‑collision analyses, and apply survey management principles.
  • Design, model, and validate BHA configurations to meet operational and customer requirements.
  • Generate and maintain Design of Service (DOS) documentation and technical reports using company‑approved engineering software.
  • Support both office and field operations, providing technical guidance during planning and execution phases.
  • Maintain well design, survey, and BHA design databases, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.
  • Contribute to post‑job analysis and lessons learned, supporting continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with technical customers, consulting to understand challenges and define tailored solutions.
  • Advise customers and field personnel on equipment capabilities, technical risks, and operational complexity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience, including wellsite (field) exposure.
  • Solid understanding of well planning, trajectory design, anti‑collision, survey management, and BHA design/modeling fundamentals.
  • Experience preparing technical documentation and reports for operational projects.
  • Strong communication skills to interface with customers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced English.
