Operator Assistant I - Service Operator I - Artificial Lift

Job Duties

  • Under direct supervision, responsible for spooling the cable as it is pulled from the field site hole.
  • Works closely with the Service Operators and Service Supervisors in the installation of the cable into the field site hole.
  • Loads, performs pre-trip inspection, transports cable spool from the shop to the field site location and rig up.
  • Responsible for unloading cable at the shop and reloading for next trip.
  • Prepares paperwork to include DOT requirements, IFTA reports, billable and non- billable hours and mileage. 
  • Completes training on safety, cable shop procedures and learn about installations from field trips. 
  • Handles pull of cable on to the spool at the field site location. 
  • Develops a basic understanding of energy industry activities and artificial lift products and services at the shop and well site.
  • Learns all relevant company HSE policies and procedures and to demonstrate their application. 

Qualifications

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Class 5 driver's license and able to provide copy of driver's abstract is required. 
  •  Able to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Must be able to work an On-Call schedule. 

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Operator Assistant II and Service Operator I.
