Inventory Planner - Senior Inventory Planner - Artificial Lift

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for planning activities such as review of forecasts and replenishment recommendations generated by inventory planning tools, leading inventory planning meetings and ensuring actions arising from these meetings are executed. Additionally, the role will provide coaching and training to Material Control Specialists and in some cases serve as team lead for small work groups or project teams.
  • Entering and monitoring internal and external inventory orders 
  • Required to assist in regulating and assisting in adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Will be required to learn and assist with technical material master data work. 
  • Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock.
  • Monitor updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
  • Will have direct impact and responsibility to meet financial goals and objectives for the business.

Qualifications:

  • Requires completion of a two-year degree; a four-year undergraduate degree in supply chain, engineering/applied math, finance/accounting or business is preferred.
  • Six years related experience in materials management which includes experience in procurement or logistics or a four-year degree plus 2 years related work experience required.
  • Strong computer skills and analytical abilities to resolve problems required.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word) and inventory management software
