US Houston R&D Chemist (Senior - Advisor)

Job Duties and Qualifications

  • Candidate should have a deep understanding of H2S scavenger chemicals and their applications
  • Ability to research new H2S scavenging technologies and methods to improve current practices
  • Autonomously performs research and development activities and recognizes exceptions to normal chemical trends
  • Guides new employees on chemical compliance and lab safety by understanding key regulatory organization and policies
  • Champions development of new technologies and products which contributes to long term technology and business vision
  • Directs projects by evaluating project risk and assessing what is appropriate, reasonable, timely, and realistic
  • Delivers innovative ideas by contributing to Halliburton's Intellectual Property portfolio
  • Creates an impactful relationship with Halliburton's technical community, customers, and vendors by proactively collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Participates in professional societies in area of specialization
  • Skills acquired through the completion of a degree in Chemistry, similar discipline
  • Minimum educational requirement Doctoral degree and zero or more years' experience or Master's degree and two or more years' experience or Bachelor's degree and four or more years' experience
  • Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on o education, experience, and skill level a variety of job opportunities might be available from R&D Senior Chemist, R&D Principal Chemist up to the R&D Advisor Chemist.
