Job Duties
Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for a portfolio of programs with a high degree of autonomy. Supervise, directly or indirectly, subordinate managers, supervisors, and team leaders, and offer input into project planning and execution.
• Contribute to the strategic development and continuous improvement of project management processes, workforce planning, competency development, and budgeting—ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and the broader Project Management strategy.
• Initiate, prioritize, and justify projects, processes, and initiatives that support the organization’s strategic direction.
• Manage team performance through recruitment, performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring to support career growth and skills development.
• Lead or initiate cross-functional, cross-departmental, or cross-center teams to develop, prioritize, and drive corporate initiatives, research projects, process excellence, and Project Management initiatives (e.g., development of standards, best practices, and implementation of enabling technologies).
• Demonstrate a broad understanding of both the business and technical aspects of Project Management.
• Serve as an advocate for reliability initiatives, the use of project management methodologies, and adherence to the Halliburton product development process.
• Hold full accountability for managing a large team, a major business unit, product line, revenue center, or critical support function.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience, including at least 6 years of demonstrated success in program management.
