This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for learning in a fast-paced environment. As a Technical Professional, you will be instrumental in supporting our drilling fluid products and services across a wide range of industries.
Job Duties and Qualifications
- Under general supervision, assists in providing application expertise and any special technical data to Business Development, Application Engineering, Training, External Customers and Operations to support product and service applications globally.
- Reviews, uses, and refers users to appropriate technical content of product/services.
- Assists in responding to questions submitted to the Knowledge Base system.
- Assists in providing operational and practical perspectives to project development and prioritization, as a member of the Product Service Line (PSL) Project review team or PD&C.
- Reviews operational performance expectations or specifications.
- Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical writing experience considered a plus but not required
- Willingness to travel as required to job sites and client locations (Domestic & International)
- Highly organized with an attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new systems
- Public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Dependable and flexible, with the ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Resourceful and proactive, able to find solutions and seek guidance when needed
- Experience or familiarity with the minerals industry is preferred but not mandatory
Requirements
- Requires completion of an associate's degree in engineering or similar discipline
- Two years of experience in PSL Field Operations, Business Development, or Technology Development as it relates to field operations.
Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Technical Professional (Technical Services) or Senior Technical Professional (Technical Services).
