Team Lead - IT Solution Build & Operate

Reports To: IT Manager, Solution Build & Operate (SBO)

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Team Lead to join our IT Solution Build & Operate team. This role will be responsible for leading the technical teams in delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions across our application portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to support business-critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the technical teams, ensuring timely delivery of enhancements, bug fixes, and project deliverables
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and QA teams to define and refine requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Oversee sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies in alignment with team velocity and priorities
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture guidelines, and DevOps practices as outlined in IT SBO Group’s DEV COE guidelines
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • Coordinate with offshore teams and vendors to ensure seamless integration and support coverage
  • Monitor and report on team performance metrics, quality KPIs, and delivery timelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, or Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in team leadership or supervisory role
  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in CS, MIS, BA or Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (.NET, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, etc.) and agile delivery frameworks
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with global delivery models
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Halliburton’s internal systems and change management processes
  • Experience with cloud-native application development and CI/CD pipelines
  • Prior exposure to energy industry enterprise systems such as HSE, Corporate Applications, etc
