Systems Engineer Technical Professional (Senior - Principal) Sperry Drilling

Job Duties

Responsibilities:
•    Under general direction, assists in the development of total system design solutions that balance cost, schedule, performance and risk. 
•    Involved in the development and tracking of technical information needed for decision making as well as verification that technical solutions satisfy customer requirements. 
•    Assists in the development of systems that can be produced economically and supported throughout the life cycle.  
•    Assists in the development and monitoring of internal and external interface compatibility of the system and subsystems using an open systems approach.  
•    Help to establish baselines and configuration control. 
•    Learns and utilizes project management skills in the organization and execution of project assignment as necessary.  
•    Also helps to provide proper focus and structure for system and major sub-system level design Integrated Product Teams.  
•    Job tasks impact directly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality Analysis techniques in all job processes.  
•    Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.  
•    Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.  


Qualifications:
•    Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline.
•    4 years’ experience in Engineering or Software which includes experience in Systems Integration, Technical Software, Electrical Downhole, Mechanical Downhole, Mechanical Surface, Chemistry, or Applied Engineering. 
•    Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional is preferred

Candidates who possess qualifications exceeding the minimum job requirements will be considered for higher-level positions based on their experience, additional job requirements, and current business needs. Depending on their education, experience, and skill level, candidates may be eligible for a range of job opportunities, including positions ranging from Systems Engineer Technical Professional Senior to Systems Engineer Technical Professional Principal.
