Overview

The Social Media Specialist supports social media activities across all Halliburton product lines, support functions, and regional teams. The role manages channel maintenance, content publishing, paid social, content review, and team training. Strong organization, multi-tasking, and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain all corporate social media channels, ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely content across platforms
  • Manage the global social media content calendar, coordinating posts, workflows, and approvals teams
  • Create, edit, and publish platform‑specific content; monitor channels and engage with audiences
  • Monitor social channels for brand sentiment, emerging issues, and audience insights; escalate risks and opportunities as needed
  • Manage the employee advocacy platform, curating and enabling employee‑shared content
  • Manage paid social advertising, including setup, optimization, performance tracking, and reporting
  • Track key performance metrics, deliver training on social media best practices, and apply insights to continuously improve content and campaign performance

Preferred Skills

  • Strong writing, editing, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate with diverse stakeholders
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for content drafting, compliance checks, and workflow efficiency
  • Experience with social media management and analytics platforms, including paid social tools

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 5+ years of Marketing or Communications experience; degree preferred
  • Experience managing social media channels and paid campaigns
