Senior Manager, Identity and Access Management

Job Duties

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Identity and Access Management (IAM) to lead and mature our enterprise IAM program. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in implementing scalable, secure, and automated identity solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in RBAC/ABAC-based access provisioning, SSO, MFA, and passwordless authentication, as well as deep knowledge of tools like Okta, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Saviynt, and SAP systems. 

  • With general autonomy, responsible for "global/regional" supervision, support and deployment.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise IAM strategies, policies, and controls.
  • Oversee automated access provisioning and entitlement management using RBAC and/or ABAC frameworks across the enterprise.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles, including least privilege access, continuous authentication, and app/identity micro-segmentation.
  • Drive integration and implementation of Zero Trust architectures using IAM tools including Okta, Entra ID, Entra Conditional Access and Identity Protection Policies, Saviynt, and SAP GRC.
  • Champion secure authentication and access initiatives including SSO, MFA, and password less authentication across hybrid and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with SOC, infrastructure, HR, audit, and application teams to align IAM capabilities with business and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the implementation and tuning of risk-based access policies and conditional access rules to minimize identity-related threats.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to IAM engineers and analysts.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of IAM solutions, analyze trends, and present performance metrics to leadership.
  • Ensure IAM controls comply with regulatory standards and industry frameworks (e.g., SOX, NIST, ISO).

Qualifications

  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of a graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent and a minimum of 15 years in Technology or Information Security which includes at least 10 years of experience in Information Security leadership.
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical experience in:
  • Strong knowledge and experience implementing cloud-based identity, zero trust principles, and hybrid IT environments.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional IAM projects and leading security teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Okta Certified Professional or equivalent.
