Mergers and Acquisitions Legal Counsel - Global Transactions

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled legal professional to lead and support complex global transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. This role requires expertise in M&A law, strategic negotiation skills, and the ability to manage cross-border legal matters with precision and confidence.

Transactions focus on technology acquisitions and joint ventures covering various aspects of the energy industry, including hard tech, software, power and data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor for all aspects of global M&A transactions and joint ventures
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transaction-related documents, such as purchase and sale agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, and other ancillary documents
  • Provide advice on antitrust and competition law matters, with a focus on merger control and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and manage external counsel to ensure efficient, high-quality legal support throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Monitor legal developments and emerging risks in M&A and antitrust law to proactively advise the business

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active license to practice law
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–7 years of progressive legal experience in mergers and acquisitions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal issues and negotiate high-stakes agreements
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Candidates who exceed the minimum qualifications may be considered for elevated roles based on their experience, skill set, and business needs. Opportunities may include positions such as Attorney, Counsel, or Senior Counsel.
