Mechanical Design Engineer (Engineer - Senior - Principal) 212145

Job Duties

  • Assist in the analysis, modification, and design of products and services for assigned engineering projects.
  • Apply knowledge of materials, components, and their applications to support product development and improvement efforts.
  • Prepare design calculations and specifications
  • Develop test procedures, conduct product testing, and analyze test results to support design validation and performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with field operations and manufacturing teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product-related issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, quality, and operational performance.
  • Incorporate Reliability, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and Quality principles throughout the engineering design process.
  • Contribute to projects that directly impact cost containment, operational efficiency, profitability, and overall business performance.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline and 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to analyze test results and assist in resolving field and manufacturing challenges.
  • Understanding of Reliability, HSE, and Quality principles.
  • Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional is preferred.

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.  Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including ​Mechanical Design Engineer, ​Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, up to the Principal ​Mechanical Design Engineer.
