Logistics Specialist (Senior- Principal)

Job Duties
This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics cycle, ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across domestic and international markets. The position requires a strong ability to manage complex shipments, collaborate with service providers, and identify innovative solutions to meet business needs while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Plan and implement the complete logistics cycle under general supervision
- Optimize domestic and international movement to ensure goods are delivered to freight forwarders with all required documents for onward shipment to final destination
- Understand and optimize shipments that may have constraints (controllable or uncontrollable), including hazardous cargo
- Ensure all practices for the domestic and international movement of goods comply with local and international laws
- Understand and validate transactions in two of the three transportation modes (Air, Ocean, or Land)
- Determine the most economical and reliable transportation route based on cost and time constraints
- Collaborate with logistics service providers to identify appropriate and creative solutions to ensure timely delivery while maintaining competitiveness
- Forecast capacity with logistics service providers to support business needs by calculating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and using it as a tool to derive economical routing
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or Engineering
- 2–3 years of logistics experience with at least two transportation modes (Ocean, Air, or Land)
- Knowledge of hazardous movements preferred
- IATA/IMDG certification may be required depending on scope of work
