Drilling Development Manager (GenAI Products - Technical) - Landmark

Job Purpose
Job Duties
- Lead the technical development of GenAI drilling products from design through production deployment.
- Translate drilling engineering requirements into product‑specific AI implementations, including LLM‑based reasoning, RAG pipelines, automated analysis, and AI‑assisted workflows.
- Oversee integration of GenAI products with drilling data, engineering calculations, and operational workflows.
- Ensure GenAI products meet engineering validation, explainability, security, and IP protection requirements.
- Guide implementation of agent‑based behaviors and automation within products, with appropriate guardrails and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
- Define and enforce technical standards and best practices for GenAI development within drilling products.
- Collaborate with drilling engineers, software engineers, and data scientists to ensure correct use of domain logic and data.
- Support product hardening, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
- Perform limited platform or infrastructure tuning when required to enable product performance, scalability, or reliability.
- Mentor technical team members on GenAI implementation patterns and drilling domain integration.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering complex technical products in industrial or engineering environments.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, data pipelines, APIs, and AI‑enabled systems.
- Preferred: hands‑on experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG architectures, or agentic systems applied to engineering or operational products.
- Preferred: domain experience around drilling or upstream oil and gas development
