Job Duties
- With general autonomy, provides leadership and direction for startup company identification, engagement and evaluation (including commercial and technical) from sources including but not limited to venture capital funds, academia, and government agencies (domestic and international)
- Serves as focal point for engagements with academic institutions and government R&D entities such as ARPA-E and National Laboratories
- Manages delivery of internal education on novel energy topics through Innovation Series programming
- Prepares and presents technical briefings on novel energy topics for executive committee
- May lead or initiate cross functional, cross department or cross center teams in developing, prioritizing and justifying various corporate, excellence, research, PSL programs and/or initiatives.
- Possesses broad understanding of business aspects, capabilities and associated technology across Halliburton
- Ensures rigorous application of scouting processes
- Engages in continuous improvement of Venture Scouting & Innovation competencies and processes.
Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Technical, Engineering, or Business required. Possession of a graduate degree in Technical, Engineering or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in Technical, Engineering, or Business which includes experience in technical and business leadership roles.
