About the Role
Under broad direction, the Director, IAM Commercial Strategy & Partnerships drives Halliburton’s long-term commercialization and partnership strategy for the Integrated Asset Management (IAM) business. This role is responsible for identifying, structuring, and executing strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and investments that strengthen Halliburton’s market position and unlock new growth opportunities as well as structuring and negotiating risk sharing commercial models involving KPI or other forms of risk sharing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the IAM commercial strategy, aligning with corporate growth objectives and regional business plans.
- Source, evaluate, and engage with Private Equity firms, Joint Ventures, and strategic partners to create new investment or partnership opportunities.
- Structure and negotiate joint ventures, LLCs, and asset-based partnerships in coordination with Legal, Finance, and Tax teams.
- Assess commercial, legal, and financial implications of new ventures to ensure long-term viability and value creation.
- Drive commercial due diligence and valuation modeling for potential acquisitions, divestitures, and major investments.
- Collaborate with Executive and Business Development leadership to define IAM’s long-term strategic roadmap and commercialization priorities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic partners, ensuring alignment with Halliburton’s operational, financial, and ESG objectives.
- Provide thought leadership and market intelligence on emerging investment models, energy transition opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Structure and negotiate KPI or similar risk sharing arrangements, particularly those that involve taking production related risk.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive commercial experience in the energy sector, including proven success in deal structuring, M&A, or joint venture development.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex, high-value commercial agreements with external partners and financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of E&P asset valuation, fiscal regimes, and investment economics.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills.
• Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional deal teams.
