Corporate Accounting (Manager - Senior Manager)

Job Duties

  • Provide comprehensive analytical and research support to executive leadership in preparation for investor, Board of Directors, and executive committee meetings. This includes developing innovative approaches to address complex issues lacking established methodologies or techniques
  • Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable conclusions and insights tailored for a C-Suite audience
  • Monitor macroeconomic conditions, competitive dynamics, market trends, and industry evolution, and develop strategic recommendations to ensure Halliburton’s strategy remains aligned with changing market conditions
  • Partner directly with the CEO and CFO in preparing presentation materials and thematic content for the Annual Strategy Review
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic projects across the Finance organization, including frequent engagement with FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting
  • Develop long-term financial forecasts and scenario analyses to inform key financial and strategic decisions
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to stakeholders by providing analytical support and insights for critical organizational initiatives
  • Analyze and interpret both internal and external data, employing best-practice model design and automation to drive efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, or in another business discipline, science, mathematics, or engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, including demonstrated management experience 
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-MBA experience in management consulting or investment banking
  • MBA from a top-tier business school preferred, particularly if the undergraduate degree is not in Finance
  • Prior experience in the oil & gas industry preferred, though not required
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build trust across a large, diverse organization
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in developing and enhancing Microsoft Excel-based financial models and working with complex datasets
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create executive-level presentations that synthesize information into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated self-initiative, intellectual curiosity, and critical thinking ability
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity, including the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
