Job Duties and Qualifications

We are looking for a Community Relations Representative to enhance our company’s engagement and reputation in the community. This role involves building relationships with community leaders, planning and executing outreach programs, and managing our charitable contributions. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Communications or a related field and at least two years of experience in community relations within a corporate environment. This position offers the chance to significantly impact our community presence and internal operations through strategic initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, coordinates and organizes efforts to represent the company favorably in the community
  • Recommends and may assist in planning programs that align with the company's community outreach initiatives and goals as well as those that promote client/business relationships and good will
  • Ability to work with and communicate with senior and executive leadership within the organization
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with community leaders
  • Assists with coordination of the company's charitable contributions program, including coordinating receipt of and documenting requests for financial support
  • Generally familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures
  • Acts as a senior member of the company's community relations team in setting short- and long-term community relations goals and may assist in developing strategies to achieve these goals
  • May assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for community relations activities
  • Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability and operations
  • Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined

Requirements

  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Communications or related field
  • Two or more years of experience in community relations which includes experience in a corporate setting
  • Needs to be very organized and detailed to be successful in this role as well as having strong time management skills

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles give (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
