Accountant - Halliburton Technology Support (Senior - Principal)

Summary

Under general supervision, applies knowledge of the company's business systems, business processes, and controls, including policies and procedures, relative to the location and department assigned. Demonstrates understanding of organizational structure and core businesses of the company and industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted business partner to operational and technology teams, providing financial insights and guidance
  • Support Halliburton Technology operations with accurate forecasting and financial planning
  • Demonstrate expertise in OPEX (Operating Expenses) and CAPEX (Capital Expenditures) management
  • Perform activities involving complex accounting reports and analyses using spreadsheets and financial applications
  • Prepare and post journal vouchers for complex accounting transactions
  • Review and monitor financial transactions for accuracy and timeliness
  • Research and resolve complex accounting issues and transactions, including related internal controls
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial results, including variance explanations
  • Participate in multi-functional teams and apply project management skills to support initiatives and process improvements
  • Demonstrate knowledge in moderately complex aspects of general accounting, internal controls, company policy, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and financial applications
  • Maintain intermediate proficiency with industry and company acumen
  • Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available Senior Accountant to the Principal Accountant

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification is a plus
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting-related roles required
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or related field required
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles required
