Job Duties
- Working under broad direction, analyzes, modifies and designs for multiple projects and/or projects of great complexity requiring independent application of advance engineering techniques.
- Leads projects or design teams.
- Considered a subject matter expert in the application of standard materials and components.
- Investigates use of alternate materials and provides input on strategic sourcing of materials.
- Plans and conducts projects with wide latitude for independent action.
- Advises and handles field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services.
- Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.
- Job role contributes directly to value creation.
Qualifications
- Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline, and 7 years of related experience.
- Completion of a Masters in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
- Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is also preferred.
