Principal Technical Professional - Mechanical

Job Duties

  • Working under broad direction, analyzes, modifies and designs for multiple projects and/or projects of great complexity requiring independent application of advance engineering techniques.
  • Leads projects or design teams.
  • Considered a subject matter expert in the application of standard materials and components.
  • Investigates use of alternate materials and provides input on strategic sourcing of materials.
  • Plans and conducts projects with wide latitude for independent action.
  • Advises and handles field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services.
  • Incorporates Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process.
  • Job role contributes directly to value creation.

Qualifications

  • Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline, and 7 years of related experience.
  • Completion of a Masters in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred.
  • Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is also preferred.
