Crane Operator - B&C (I - III)

Job Duties

  • Under indirect supervision, safely and effectively operates traveling or stationary overhead crane (cab or ground controlled) to lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products using hoisting attachments, such as hook, sling, electromagnet, or bucket.
  • Reads and interprets instructions, documentation and plans work activities.
  • Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
  • May inspect and lubricate cables, pulleys, guides and drums.
  • Job role, properly performed, has minimal impact on the viability of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Skills are typically acquired high school or similar education and a minimum of 3-12 months experience through previous crane operations experience and/or on-the-job training.
  • Must be proficient in wireline operations and abilities to set a frac stacks and flow back.
  • Class A CDL (air brakes and combination) required.
  • Must be able to work with no direct supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must read and write in English.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to pass background check, drug test.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Must be able to rig up and operate an Altec 38 ton crane unassisted.
  • Must be able to assist crane operators as a rigger if necessary.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Work Shift

(Days) Monday-Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm; alternating work on Friday's, 5:00am-3:30pm

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.  Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Crane Operator - B&C I, Crane Operator - B&C II, or Crane Operator - B&C III.
