Associate CNC Machine Operator - Senior CNC Machine Operator - Manufacturing

Work Shift

(DAYS) Monday-Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm

Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Job Duties

  • Set up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes
  • Build and perform machine setups, including fixture installation, tooling setup, work holding, and work offset establishment
  • Verify programs and perform prove-outs for new machining processes and first-run parts
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Inspect first-article and production parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Monitor machine operation and adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, tooling, and cutting parameters to maintain part quality and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, material, program, and process-related issues
  • Load, align, and secure tooling, fixtures, and workpieces using appropriate lifting equipment, including overhead cranes when required
  • Maintain production records and communicate machining or programming issues to supervisors and support personnel
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, housekeeping, and equipment care
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor less-experienced machinists as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience; greater experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
  • Ability to independently perform machine setups and operate CNC machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Proficiency using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Experience performing first-article inspections and machining process prove-outs
  • Trade school certification or technical education in machining or manufacturing technology.
