Job Description
Job Duties:
- Under general supervision, performs high level design work.
- Perform placement and routing of moderate to complex PCBs.
- Requires advanced knowledge and understanding of IPC, industry, and company guidelines.
- Complies with and promotes the reliability and safety practices.
- Comply with HSE and service Quality requirements.
- May mentor and train lower-level designers/drafters.
- Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
- Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.
Qualifications:
- Skills are typically acquired through the completion of an associate's degree in Electronics Technology, Drafting or similar discipline and 7 years of related drafting/design experience or through 9 years of related drafting/design experience.
Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Principal Electronics Designer.
