Senior Bit Repair Technician

Job Duties

  • Under general supervision, performs standard operations specifically used in the Fixed Cutter Drill Bit Repair Centers to repair fixed cutter drill bits to include receive and de-can repair bits, braze prep and maintenance, post braze clean up, tip grind bit gage using NC and manual machines, final bit clean up, liquid penetrate testing, paint, label, package and ship bits.
  • Maintain certifications in the use of product lifting devices, overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
  • Perform critical to quality audits, tests, visuals and process checks.
  • Qualify as competent on three or more Repair Center Special Processes to include powder matrix repair, hard face rebuild, API upper section repair, braze repair and bit evaluation.
  • Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.

Qualifications

  • Requires completion of a high school diploma, or equivalent, and three years of experience in Bit Repair.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high-quality work with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in all aspects of bit repair and maintenance activities.

Work Shift

(1st Shift) Monday-Thursday, 6:00am - 2:30pm

Overtime may be required.
