Job Duties and Qualifications

Responsibilities:  
•    Drive the advancement and implementation of new materials and manufacturing processes by working closely research engineers, operations teams and vendors to support project goals and timelines. 
•    Collaborate with operations teams and internal customers to identify and diagnose challenges and recommend process or product improvements. 
•    Manage development projects and coordinate necessary manufacturing testing and field trials to ensure technical solutions meet project objectives. 
•    Engage with vendors to find and test new material solutions, qualify new parts, and write specifications. 
•    Provide technical support to operational and manufacturing teams, addressing any issues or challenges related to materials or manufacturing processes.    
•    Provide expert guidance on material selection and manufacturing methods to design engineers 
•    Through a combination of team collaboration and data analytics, identify opportunities for enhancement in drill bit materials and manufacturing processes and deliver solutions that provide improved performance. 
•    Conduct internal technical presentations and training sessions in support of new product development  
•    Communicate with global teams to share knowledge, best practices and updates on new product developments. 
•    Stay updated with industry trends, market demands, and emerging technologies to drive innovation. 

Requirements:

    Skills acquired through the completion of a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science engineering or similar discipline. 

Candidates with qualifications exceeding the minimum job requirements will be considered for higher-level positions based on their experience, additional job requirements, and current business needs. Depending on their education, experience, and skill level, candidates may be eligible for a range of job opportunities, including positions ranging from Drill Bits Mechanical Engineer Sr. to Drill Bits Mechanical Engineer Principal.
