Role Overview

We’re seeking a forward-thinking Data Scientist/AI generalist to help lead our digital transition in manufacturing through innovative, intelligent automation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on applying proven AI platforms and techniques to drive continuous improvement across production, quality, and operations. You’ll work hands-on with tools like Snowflake, Azure services, and SQL Server to build scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives that apply AI to optimize manufacturing workflows, reduce downtime, and improve product quality
  • Design and deploy intelligent automation solutions that enable continuous improvement across operations
  • Integrate commercial AI tools, platforms, and models for scalable deployment
  • Champion best practices in model monitoring, retraining, and lifecycle management
  • Analyze production data from MES, SCADA, and sensor systems to uncover actionable insights
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines using Snowflake and other cloud native services to support model development and analytics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate operational challenges into data-driven strategies
  • Develop visualizations and dashboards that empower teams to make informed decisions

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in data science or applied machine learning
  • Experience applying AI to real-world manufacturing use cases
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL Server
  • Proficiency in Python for data wrangling and model development
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Passion for driving operational excellence through data and automation

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with AI platforms such as Azure ML and practical deployment workflows
  • Exposure to industrial data systems (MES, SCADA, PLCs) and IoT architectures
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and model governance
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process control methodologies
  • Visualization experience with Power BI, Qlik Sense, or similar tools
  • Experience with Databricks for scalable model training and orchestration
