Job Description

We are looking for the right people — people who want to innovate, achieve, grow and lead. We attract and retain the best talent by investing in our employees and empowering them to develop themselves and their careers. Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.

About Landmark

Landmark, a Halliburton business line, provides the industry’s most comprehensive suite of digital solutions for exploration, drilling, and production optimization. Its software and data platforms empower customers to model subsurface assets, manage drilling risk, and accelerate decision-making through cloud, AI, and advanced analytics.

About the Role

This scalable opportunity is designed for software engineers with one to five years of relevant experience. You will join a Landmark delivery team and contribute to production software used by energy companies for engineering and operational decisions.

You will be matched to one primary engineering discipline based on demonstrated experience and current business demand. You are not expected to know every language or technology listed. The appropriate role scope will reflect the work you have personally delivered—not keywords alone.

Choose Your Primary Engineering Discipline
Select the discipline that best reflects your strongest demonstrated experience. Experience across all five disciplines is not required.
• Backend and Services: Java, C#/.NET, APIs, service-oriented or distributed systems, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Scientific and High-Performance Software: C++, F#, or Fortran used in numerical, simulation, geoscience, engineering, or other compute-intensive applications.
• Full-Stack and Web Applications: TypeScript or JavaScript with React, Angular, Node.js, APIs, and modern web application practices.
• Python, Data and AI: Python-based data processing, applied machine learning, AI-enabled product features, search, or analytics.
• Cloud, Platform and DevOps: Azure or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, observability, or developer-platform tooling.

What You Will Do
• Build, test and deliver defined features or components within an established product codebase.
• Investigate defects, document findings and implement fixes with appropriate guidance.
• Write and maintain automated tests as part of the team’s delivery workflow.
• Participate in code reviews, respond constructively to feedback and contribute observations on teammates’ work.
• Use version control, build tools, issue tracking and development environments consistently.
• Follow secure-coding, documentation and software-quality practices established for the product.
• Communicate progress, risks, questions and blockers clearly within a distributed team.

Qualifications

Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• More than one year of related software development and production-level development experience.
• Demonstrated development experience in at least one engineering discipline described in this posting.
• Evidence of contributing to a shared codebase using version control, testing practices and standard development tooling.
• Ability to explain a feature, application, substantial project or production contribution and clearly identify your personal role.
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to seek clarification when requirements or technical direction are incomplete.

Preferred
• Experience debugging software beyond the initial symptom and documenting the resolution.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD, containerization, data systems or enterprise software.
• Experience collaborating through pull requests, code reviews, Agile delivery or comparable team practices.
• Exposure to scientific computing, applied AI/ML, real-time systems, large-scale data or another technically demanding application domain.
• Energy-industry or engineering-software experience is helpful but not required.

Candidates who possess qualifications exceeding the minimum job requirements may be considered for higher-level positions based on experience, additional qualifications, demonstrated capabilities, and current business needs.
