Senior Accountant - Principal Accountant (Account Reconciliations)

Job Duties

Process overview:

The Account Reconciliation team is responsible for performing the Reconciliations for the Halliburton Group. Account Reconciliations are a fundamental financial control used to substantiate the assertion of fair presentation of our financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Account Reconciliation team analyze transactions, validate supporting documents and identify the exposures with clear action plan and expected clearing date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the quality of account reconciliation deliverables for a region or complex functions.
  • Responsible for managing vendor teams as well as direct team members and assisting the team in guiding towards overall quality of Reconciliations.
  • Perform quality review of selection from Reconciliations, provide feedback to the teams on improvement areas.
  • Responsible to maintain stakeholder management, identify process gaps, and drive with country finance teams or vendor team in implementing standardizations.
  • Focal point for internal audit and external audit teams to support the data points and handle audit queries in the account reconciliation area.
  • Responsible for monitoring business metrics regularly and presenting dashboards to leadership with progress and introduce new business metrics that are believed to improve the delivery process.
  • Involve in new projects or automation ideas, discuss with relevant stakeholders and drive the implementations.
  • Responsible for maintaining process documentation up to date, conducting timely review and sign-off; ensure all changes and exceptions captured and submitting them for manager approval. 
  • Engage discussions with other towers, Global Process Owners, Country teams to maintain completeness of the process.
  • Responsible for working with Blackline and ERP technical teams on data front and maintaining all consistency of data (user allocations, groupings, templates etc.)

Requirements: 

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting related roles required. Requires completion of an undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or related field. Knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles required.

Shift timing:

Any 9 working hours in a day depending on the business needs and the regions supported; open to work extended hours or weekend as business needs. He or She should be open for work from Office for all working days
