Plant Specialist - Baroid Mine

Job Duties

  • Under general supervision, assist in plant analysis of production systems, modifications of plant design or product modifications, which requires working knowledge of plant operations and product knowledge.
  • They prepare design calculations and specifications to meet production capacity and product requirements.
  • They develop test procedures for system analysis, conduct the tests and complete the analysis of the systems effectiveness.
  • Design of systems must meet MSHA/OSHA regulatory requirements along with HAL Health, Safety Environment (HSE) standards.
  • They assist in handling field and plant manufacturing problems to maintain and improve product and services.
  • They oversee projects they have planned out and conduct project oversight.
  • Their projects incorporate reliability, HSE and SQ analysis techniques during design phase of a project.
  • Project designs take into account material of construction, manufacturing components and their application in the plant.
  • They learn and utilize project management skills in the execution of project assignments.
  • Job tasks performed correctly directly impact safety, health and environmental performance, efficiency of the operation, cost containment and profitability. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of related experience required.
  • Completion of an Associates degree in a technical field or Technical training certification preferred.
  • Must have a current and valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
