Field Sales Rep - Account Rep. - Baroid

Job Duties

  • Under general direction, make sales calls and provide technical support to customers in a defined territory.
  • Account Representative position will be in the Intermountain Region i.e. Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Arizona and Colorado.  
  • Prepares for and facilitates sales calls and documents outcomes.
  • Draws on knowledge of products and their capabilities to identify and troubleshoot/resolve basic customer issues independently.
  • May need to escalate/involve more senior team members for complex customer issues.
  • Provides feedback/insight on customer needs, competitors, technology, and other pertinent issues via CRM system/process.
  • There will also be support provided for water wells and infrastructure projects.

  • Working with and calling on our distribution network in the region is expected on a regular basis.  

  • Calls after normal business hours and on weekends are common. 

  • Working conditions will be in remote, high-altitude environments with exposure to changing weather conditions through out the year.  

  • Driving will be a daily requirement. 

  • Compliance with the company driving policies, vehicle operation and maintenance requirements is a must. 

  • Employee will need to obtain initial MSHA training for surface and underground and maintain annual MSHA refresher and comply with mine site-specific training requirements.   

  • Company assigned training will also need to be maintained as required. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree is required
  • Communication skills and working with end users is key to our success in maintaining and growing our current business.  Computer skills and providing daily reports to the mine operators and drilling contractors is a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point is required.
  • No previous work experience required.
  • 75% of the job will be in the field providing BSS equipment and drilling fluids support on mining exploration, dewatering programs, surface, and underground drilling operations on active mine sites in Nevada and Intermountain Region.  
  • Travel, including overnight stays will be mandatory. 
  • Work Authorization: Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States will not be considered. 
    Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position 

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.  Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Senior Field Sales Rep or Business Development Account Rep.
