Surface Facilities Project Supervisor

Job Duties

Under general supervision:

  • From Surface Facilities IAM Project Manager or Project/Asset Manager, supervises the operations on the field projects for a given project or several projects in an asset.
  • Establishes scope of work with site customer and site representative.
  • Checks design documentation for adequacy to specific site conditions and agreed scope of work.
  • Proposes engineering adjustments to site condition as required.
  • Visits site before and during the project and verifies that applied project procedures by contractor will allow compliance of technical requirements and timely completion.
  • Additional responsibilities include verifying project advance payment and contractor resource allocation; commenting and proposing adjustments to comply with project schedule and budget; verifying safety conditions at site and stop work if required; informing management and personnel of unsafe practice.
  • Also participates in site project meetings with contractor and customer, and coordinates site inspection by QA/QC, HSE and commissioning teams in a timely matter.
  • Prepares periodic reports for upper management.

Additional Role Responsibilities:

(1). Supervises the activities of assigned personnel at BIN-UMAR &SINDBAD Stations well site. Performs supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position; 
(2). Supervises all activities under the Company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to, so that Loss Prevention is maximized; 
(3). Drive innovative solutions to operating issues, ensure accurate measurement and optimize operations;  
(4). Prepare, maintain, and execute terminal operating and capital budgets, establish and monitor key performance indicators; 
(5). Set priorities, assign projects, monitor progress and set standards for a high performing team; 
(6). Organization and Cooperate with maintenance team do the PM/CM and troubleshooting jobs;  
(7). Monitor and operate the SAP/CMMS system.       
(8). Contribute and participate in successful completion of plant improvements; 
(9). Performs E.R.T. responsibilities as stipulated in Loss Control Procedures and acts as an emergency response team Managerer in case of emergency. 
(10). Control, minimize and monitor flare losses & waste generation. 
(11). Coordinates with Royal commission and other outside party for flare losses & waste management. 
(12). Identify team and individuals limitations and develop contingency plans to address any short fall. 

Qualifications

Requires undergraduate degree in Engineering or similar discipline, and preferably a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in planning, design and construction of surface facilities for oil fields.

Preferred Experience:
•    Minimum of 10-15 years relevant experience in their discipline or in an operations environment within the oil & gas industry. 
•    Recognized International Qualifications (NVQ, C&G, OPITO etc)
•    Valid Emergency Response competence
•    CMMS/SAP Experience 
•    Coaching & Development Experience (Competence Assessors preferred) 
•    Commissioning experience
•    Experience from similar challenging environments. (Wells experience a must for production operations personnel)
•    Valid trade competencies (Complex, Flange Management, ESR’s, Small bore tubing etc.)
•    Internationally recognized driving license
•    Good English skills, Arabic speaking advantageous
•    ISSOW/PTW experience
