Asset Manager, Senior

Job Duties

  • With general autonomy, has overarching responsibility for investment performance and operations pertaining to Halliburton's equity and/or commercial ownership in Oil and Gas properties.
  • The Sr. Asset Manager has direct oversight of one or more long term field development projects or a region as well as ultimate accountability for IAM's performance.
  • Directs and manages the Asset teams, consisting of Asset Operations and teams of geoscience and engineering professionals, who are responsible for managing and developing the field.
  • Major responsibilities include: optimization of existing asset NPV through prudent decisions for continuing operations, investment, development, and technological improvements; acquisition of new Oil and Gas Assets – entailing opportunity identification, scoping, technical evaluation, commercialization, drilling, and development – to earn either equity or commercial ownership (with specific preference for external funding arrangements and maximized Halliburton PSL content); accountability to Halliburton Executive Management for planning, budget oversight, and P&L performance of Oil and Gas Assets – with special emphasis on ethical, safety, environmental and business compliance with Halliburton policies/standards.

Qualifications

  • Requires an undergraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geoscience and a minimum of 20 years of relevant industry experience which includes Oil and Gas deal structuring/negotiation, commercialization, Oil and Gas Accounting practices, onshore and offshore asset management, reservoir / production engineering, well construction, re-completions / workovers, geoscience interpretation, and leading/directing/mentoring technical and non-technical senior managers (professionals with middle management oversight).
  • Superior presentation skills, project management training, and experience working in unconventional plays and offshore shelf areas is required.
  • A strong knowledge of all relevant oil and gas technical disciplines in addition to specific knowledge of certain advanced interpretation and/or engineering methods is required.
